LOVING, SERVING, AND GROWING THE KINGDOM ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Exodus 14:14

"You only need to remain calm; the LORD will fight for you." (NCV)

What is God saying?

We should find peace in the fact that God, the most powerful being in existence, promises to fight on our behalf.

What is God saying to us today?

Many of us are "doers" by nature. We see a problem and we jump in and try to fix it, and that's not a problem when we have the capacity to correct the issue. Sometimes though we run into an obstacle that we do not have the power or skill to overcome, so we just throw our hands up in despair. Other times we still try to fix the problem anyway - only to make matters worse. Either way, in the end we feel stressed out, angry, and defeated. The good news is though that it doesn't have to be this way, God promises to fight our battles for us. He doesn't require anything from us - not an ounce of our talent; all we have to do is stay calm with the faith that He is at work on our behalf.

What is God inviting us to do?

When is the last time you were truly at peace? God invites us to give Him all of the battles that we are fighting - both the winnable and unwinnable - and He will fight in our place, so that we can have the peace we all desire.
