What is God saying?
Jesus is all that people are searching for in this world - including how to access the Divine.
What is God saying to us today?
Sometimes we come across verses, even words from Jesus, that are difficult to reconcile with modern life - specifically post-modern philosophy where we all have our own truths. We live in a world where more and more people celebrate and encourage diversity. Despite what some recently emboldened bigots would say, there is beauty and strength in diversity. And while a variety of skin tones, cultures, ages, languages, etc. is wonderful, according to Jesus there is a stark lack of diversity when it comes to having access to God. This is a difficult truth in a world that, apart from recent political swings, promotes tolerance and acceptance of all belief systems. It would be much easier in our society to say that Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. all lead to God, but those aren't the words of Christ. If we truly want to go the right way, know the truth, have eternal life by connecting with God, we must place our faith in Christ alone.
What is God inviting us to do?
Have you tried accessing God by picking and choosing what you like from the various world religions? God invites us to find the things that truly matter by building a relationship with Him, and this can only be done through the power and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
