LOVING, SERVING, AND GROWING THE KINGDOM ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Luke 1:37

"Nothing is impossible for God!" (CEV)

What is God saying?

God can do anything.

What is God saying to us today?

It is hard for us as limited, finite beings to wrap our minds around the fact that God can do anything. The closest we can get to that perhaps is thinking about the richest person in the world. He/she could buy the best medical care, get degrees from the best schools, and build a rocket and go into space. But, he/she would still be limited by the very real constrains of the physical world - the best medical care would not mean eternal life, a wall of diplomas from Ivy League schools would not mean omniscience, flying on a rocket would mean mastery of time and space. Even fictional characters usually have some sort of limit to their abilities, because their human creators can't really fathom what it would be like to live without limits. So when it comes to God, we try to stuff Him into a box so we can try to understand Him - and we often lose sight of the fact that He cannot be contained in any box, because His power and abilities are limitless.

What is God inviting us to do?

Is your picture of God big or small? God invites us to rejoice in the truth that His power is beyond our comprehension, that there is nothing we can ask of Him that He is not able to do.
