What is God saying?
His followers are to love Him with all of who they are.
What is God saying to us today?
It's hard to be totally and completely committed to something or someone in today's world. We have so many options at our fingertips that we can always try another option to make sure we're not missing out on the "best" that's available. If a TV show doesn't grab our attention after the first few minutes (or episodes if we're feeling generous), we scroll on to the next thing in our queue. If a we don't feel the romantic spark after a few text messages, we swipe on to the next person in the app. If we don't like what we're eating, we can order something else to be delivered to our doorstep. But, this lack of commitment doesn't really work when it comes to having a relationship with God. We can't divide our love between ourselves, the things of the world, and God- we are to love Him with 100% of our person.
What is God inviting us to do?
Do you struggle with commitment? God invites us to love Him with everything we are, because there is nothing or no one more worthy of our total loving commitment.
