LOVING, SERVING, AND GROWING THE KINGDOM ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Matthew 7:8

"Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks." (CEV)

What is God saying?

God's help is available to everyone.

What is God saying to us today?

In our society that at least appears to be set up as a meritocracy, many of us have an underlying belief that we need to earn the right to receive God's help. If we are good enough, then have earned a response from God when we ask Him for help. His willingness to aide us is directly related to our merits. And while it is true that Scripture teaches that God blesses those who follow and obey Him, Scripture is also clear that God is willing to help anyone who comes to Him. It doesn't matter if we are a goody two-shoes or the worst of sinners, anyone who reaches out in faith to God will receive, find, and have the door opened.

What is God inviting us to do?

Are you trying to clean up your life before you ask God for help? God invites us to come to Him, regardless of where we're at in life, and let Him help us!
