What is God saying?
True help does not come from the things of this world, but from God who made the world.
What is God saying to us today?
When we are in trouble, we look to get help from people/organizations that should help us. Say a fire is threatening our home and our community, we look to firefighters to help save our home and community. And while we should have such expectations from firefighters, police officers, doctors, etc., sometimes they aren't successful. Sometimes the fire burns our house down, the criminals get away, the disease is incurable. So what do we do then when we go through times of deep discouragement and loss? The good news is that we are not without hope, that we have a Helper in the midst of our helplessness, and He will see us through!
What is God inviting us to do?
Are you tempted to look for help only in the things of this world? God invites us to look to Him for the help we need, as His help never fails!
