What is God saying?
God promises to take the worries and the cares of His followers upon Himself and help them get through whatever difficulty they face.
What is God saying to us today?
Christians frequently expect God to remove the problems that cause us worry or stress. Sometimes He does provide for our health/financial/relational needs, but sometimes He doesn't. But what He does promise, both in this verse and in other passages in Scripture, is that He will see us through the hard times. So, while we have real worries, real stress, real cares, we can turn them over to God with confidence knowing that He is going to give us what we need to deal with the hardship. And this confidence, or faith, provides us with a peace that is unshakable.
What is God inviting us to do?
Are your life circumstances causing you to feel shaken right now? God invites us to give Him our worries, because He promises that He will use His infinite power and grace to sustain us no matter what we are facing!
