LOVING, SERVING, AND GROWING THE KINGDOM ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Titus 2:11-12

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age..."

What is God saying?

God sends His grace to everyone - regardless of when or where - so that everyone can be saved. His grace provides us insights on what is right and wrong, so that we can make the choice to live good lives.

What is God saying to us today?

God's grace has given everyone a degree of light that we must then decide to follow or not. It might look different to a person living in the United States of America in 2018 than it would to a person in China in 1762, but God's grace has been evident to all people in all places at all times. People often wonder where morality comes from, because atheistic evolutionists can't account for altruism or anything other than the "selfish gene." But, we see here that God really is the source of our ability to determine right from wrong (godliness vs. ungodliness). So, whenever we see someone perform an act of goodness, love, selfless service, etc., we are actually witnessing them responding to God's saving grace.

What is God inviting us to do?

The fact that God has saved us through His grace should inspire us as Christians to live lives defined by love and service for others, as we have the clearest understanding of His grace. Will you allow God's grace to teach you how to live such a life today?
