What is God saying?
He will provide for the needs of His followers.
What is God saying to us today?
We all need things in life, and we all want things in life too. But, sometimes we mix the two categories. We confuse our wants with our needs and then get upset that God isn't keeping His promises to us. So what are our needs? Does God only supply the basic needs - water, air, and food? That seems kind of cheap for someone who has "wonderful riches" doesn't it? Perhaps though God is talking about more than physical needs. We have emotional needs - the need to be loved for example. We have spiritual needs - a craving in our soul for something more. We have relational needs - the need for acceptance. God provides for those needs as well; He provides for everything we need - if we let Him.
What is God inviting us to do?
Do you find it easy or difficult to trust God to meet your needs? We like to be self-sufficient, to provide for our own needs, but God invites us to place our faith in Him and allow Him to use His wonderful riches on our behalf.
