LOVING, SERVING, AND GROWING THE KINGDOM ONE PERSON AT A TIME

Romans 11:33

"Yes, God's riches are very great, and his wisdom and knowledge have to end! No one can explain the things God decides or understand his ways." (NCV)

What is God saying?

God exists on another level where people cannot truly comprehend either His resources or His thought processes.

What is God saying to us today?

Throughout history, people have constantly tried to figure out the mind/will of their deity - looking for signs, deciphering omens, etc. Today, most Christians try to figure God out as well. We want to know what pleases Him, so that if we dress the right way, say the right things, perform the right actions, He will bless us. And while the Bible is very clear that God reveals Himself to us through nature, Scripture, and especially through Jesus, we also read that because of sin we won't be able to fully comprehend God until we get to heaven. This is difficult for many of us to accept though, because we always want to know why - why God let this happen to us, or why God didn't let that happen to us. Yet that is part of the journey of faith. We might get get the gist of who God is, we might learn some of the answers, but we have to become comfortable with not knowing everything.

What is God inviting us to do?

When is the last time you questioned God and were fine not getting an answer? God  promises that there will be a time when we will see and know everything clearly, but until then He invites us to continue to have faith and place our trust in Him.
